Masa Hayamiは、自身の肌と身体をキャンバスとして、光とAIを重ねながら、人間の存在や感覚のあり方を探究している。

日々撮り溜めた風景や自然、身体の断片をもとに、映像、写真、手作業によるレリーフ作品を横断しながら、存在が立ち上がる条件を扱う。

体験としての感覚と、理論としての知覚の構造を往復し、
光、身体、時間の関係を通して、静かに知覚へと働きかける作品を制作している。

Art History

Masa Hayamiは、AIと身体性を融合させた現在の表現に至る以前から、言葉、空間、動作を用いた制作を続けてきた。

詩、写真、立体、パフォーマンスといった形式を横断しながら、問いや感情の揺らぎを可視化する実践を重ねている。

10代の頃から美術家を志すも、一度はデザインの道へ進み、ファッション、空間、フラワーデザインなど複数の分野で経験を積む。

その後、表現へと立ち戻り、現在の制作へと至る。

近年は、福祉・教育の現場にも関わりながら、多様な命と心に触れる経験を重ねている。

それらの体験は、彼女の作品における「存在」や「感覚」への問いの基盤となっている。

Profile

Masa Hayami uses her own skin and body as a canvas, layering light and AI to explore the nature of human existence and perception.

Drawing from photographs she has accumulated over time—landscapes, nature, and fragments of the body—she works across moving image, photography, and hand-built relief to investigate the conditions through which presence emerges.

Moving between embodied experience and theoretical structures of perception,
her work engages quietly with the relationship between light, body, and time.

Art History

Before arriving at her current practice integrating AI and physicality,
Masa Hayami had long worked across language, space, and gesture.

Through poetry, photography, sculpture, and performance,
she has explored ways to visualize emotional fluctuation and the nature of questioning beyond fixed forms.

Although she aspired to become an artist from a young age,
she first pursued a career in design, gaining experience in fashion, spatial design, and floral work.

She later returned to artistic practice, leading to her current body of work.

In recent years, she has also worked in welfare and educational environments,
encountering diverse forms of life and human experience.

These experiences have become a foundation
for her ongoing inquiry into existence and perception.
