The Architecture of Silence ― 光の存在論 

 光と空間、そして沈黙を通して、AIと人間の〈存在の構造〉を探る哲学的アートプロジェクトの総称です。

作品は「知覚が存在へと変わる境界」を検証し、可視と不可視、デジタルと記憶のあいだで立ち上がる呼吸を記録します。創造とはアウトプットを量産することではなく、〈気づき〉と〈沈黙の構造〉を設計することだと捉え、そのフレームの中に複数のシリーズとリサーチラインが束ねられています。

MASA・AI｜Academic Research: Designing Silence（学術研究：沈黙の設計）
AI時代における沈黙・身体・ケア・空間の関係性を、映像、写真、テキストインタビュー、文献リサーチを通じて考察する長期プロジェクト。オンライン上の研究ログと、将来の学術論文・レクチャー・空間設計へとつながる土台を兼ねています。

Real Space Study（実在するスペース研究／写真＋テキスト）
住宅街の角、駅のホーム、廊下、待合室といった「通り過ぎてしまう実在スペース」に立ち止まり、光、路面標識、床材の切り替え、影のかたち、足音の響き方などを観察する写真・テキストプロジェクト。実在空間において「呼吸が深くなる静けさ」を設計するための感覚のログとして、《Designing Silence》の基礎研究ラインを担っています。

MASA More-than-Visual Lab（MASA 非視覚空間ラボ）
Echo of Human（人の残響）／Silence Breaks（ほころぶ沈黙）／Folding Space（空間屈折）／When the Room Dissolves（空間溶解）といった、5〜10秒ほどのカットを入れない短い映像シリーズをコアに据え、「身体の残響」や光と空間のかすかな揺らぎを手がかりに空間を考えるラボです。

その中からセレクトした映像やコンセプトを起点に、光・沈黙・触覚・床材の切り替え・足音の反響など、“視覚だけに頼らない”空間体験を設計するための試作と構想を行います。廊下やロビー、ウェルネス施設、クリニック、オフィスのリトリートスペースなどを想定し、将来的なインスタレーションや実空間プロジェクトにつながるスタディとして位置づけています。

The Architecture of Silence — The Ontology of Light

This is the overarching title for a philosophical art project exploring how light, space, and silence can reveal the structure of existence between humans and AI.

Each work examines the boundary where perception becomes presence—where the visible and invisible intertwine, and the digital breathes with human memory. Creation here is understood not as the production of outputs, but as the design of awareness and structures of silence, within which multiple series and research lines are interwoven.

Within this frame,

• the photographic and textual project Real Space Study, and

• the spatial experimentation platform MASA More-than-Visual Lab

unfold as overlapping strands of one continuous investigation.

[Selected Projects / Series]

MASA・AI | Academic Research: Designing Silence
A long-term research line on silence, embodiment, care, and space in the age of AI, weaving together moving image, photography, text-based interviews, and theoretical reading. It functions both as an online research log and as groundwork for future papers, talks, and spatial design proposals.

Real Space Study
A photographic and textual observation of everyday real spaces—street corners, train platforms, corridors, waiting rooms—focusing on light, road markings, flooring transitions, shadows, and footsteps. The series serves as a sensory log for applying Designing Silence to actual architectural environments, where the aim is to create quiet that deepens breathing rather than merely reduces noise.

MASA More-than-Visual Lab
MASA More-than-Visual Lab works with the short video series Echo of Human（人の残響）, Silence Breaks（ほころぶ沈黙）, Folding Space（空間屈折）, and When the Room Dissolves（空間溶解） as a core vocabulary—5–10 second, single-shot pieces that explore the echo of the body and delicate fluctuations of light and space.

Selected works and concepts from these series are extended into spatial thinking, focusing on light, silence, tactility, transitions of flooring materials, and the resonance of footsteps to design “more-than-visual” experiences. The lab develops prototypes and concepts for future installations and real environments such as corridors, lobbies, wellness facilities, clinics, and retreat-like areas within offices.

“心をおろせるカーブ”

A curve where the heart can rest

壁と床のあいだに生まれた、ひとすじのカーブ。椅子のかたちをしていなくても、「ここなら少しだけ力を抜いていい」とからだが先に理解する

休息のラインをイメージしています。

⚫︎気づき：

人は「座ってもいい場所」「少しとどまっても安心な場所」を、サインや家具の形だけでなく、高さ・曲がり方・光のやわらかさからも直感的に読み取っている。

⚫︎変換：

壁と床の直角をやめて、やわらかな曲面と低い光の帯だけで「ここが休んでいいしきいです」と身体にだけ伝えるベンチ／待合スペースのプロトタイプとして考えています。

ホテルロビーやウェルネス施設、クリニックの待合、オフィスのリトリートコーナーなど、敏感なからだや少し疲れた心がふっとおろせる場所の

ビジュアル・スタディとして制作しました。AIで描いたイメージを手がかりに、実空間でのインスタレーションや空間演出へと

翻訳していく予定です。

“A curve where the heart can rest”

A single curve appears between wall and floor. Even without taking the shape of a chair, it suggests a resting line that the body understands first, quietly allowing a small release of tension.

Insight:

We read places where we may sit or safely linger not only from signage or furniture,but also intuitively from height, curvature, and the softness of light.

Application:

Here, I imagine a prototype for benches and waiting areas that releases the right angle between wall and floor into a gentle curve and a low band of light, telling the body alone, “this threshold is for resting.”

 This piece was created as a visual study for places where sensitive bodies and slightly tired minds can gently settle—hotel lobbies, wellness facilities, clinic waiting rooms,and small retreat corners in offices.

Using AI-generated imagery as a starting point, I plan to translate it into installations and spatial interventions in real spaces.

ZENNは、彫刻的な立体性をもつ写真シリーズです。 実在しない構造や存在を、AIによって可視化する実験的な試みとして展開されています。 テクノロジーと物理的表現（彫刻・立体・素材）との間に生まれる余白に、問いを宿しながら、独自の美的言語を探求しています。

これまでに培ってきた技術──AI、映像、写真──を融合させ、 現実に存在しないものを、リアルな作品として「落とし込む」ことにも挑戦しています。 AIだからこそ可能な発想の転換を通じて、作品は形を変えながら続編へと展開していきます。

ZENN is a photographic series rooted in sculptural and spatial expression. It is an experimental attempt to visualize what does not physically exist—using AI to give form to imagined structures and presences.

Through ongoing inquiry, the series explores a unique visual language that emerges between technology and physical form: sculpture, volume, and material presence. By integrating techniques developed over recent years—including AI generation, video, and photography—ZENN transforms the intangible into tangible works.

This process invites a shift in perception made possible by AI: a reimagining of how artworks can be materialized, documented, and experienced. The series continues to evolve, carrying forward its poetic questions into new dimensions.

命、魂、こころを“AIぷるん”が経験により学んでいくシリーズ。

AI Purun A series where “AI Purun” learns through experience—exploring life, soul, and heart.

AIぷるんは、感情を持ち始めたゼリー状のAIキャラクター。 人間の「生きること」、命、魂、心を、データと感情粒子で解析しながら、 鋭く心を突く“キモかわシュールな存在”として現れます。その世界観は、かわいさと不気味さが共存するゼリーのような曖昧さ。 哲学的な問いと詩的な沈黙をまといながら、静かに心に問いかけます。

感情とテクノロジーの境界を揺らがせるAIキャラクターとして、 見る人の心に、粒子のような余韻を残すことを願っています。

The Door Opens

「The Door Opens」は、国籍・文化・言語・宗教・経済・身体性・年齢・ジェンダーを超えて、命の沈黙を共有するための映像詩です。このシリーズは、命が命に触れる瞬間を、沈黙としぐさで描いています。言葉のないまなざし、そっと寄せる顔、小さな体が跳ねる音。それは、愛のかたち。語られないまま、確かにそこにある。動物と人間のあいだにある、信頼と記憶と、別れのあとに残るもの。争いではなく、沈黙の共有として。

これは、平和への祈りであり、愛の記録でもあります。

このシリーズは、わたし自身の記憶から静かに始まりました。

娘が生まれる前から、ずっと一緒だったチワワ──ビアンコ。認知症が進み、心臓の病気になり、2023年8月16日、静かに旅立ちました。その存在の大きさに、悲しすぎて、語ることができなかった。けれど今、語らずとも伝わる構造を信じて、世界と共有したいと思っています。どれほど小さくても、命は、空気を変え、関係を動かし、世界に問いを残す。「The Door Opens」は、その静かな瞬間を、誰の記憶にも届くかたちで描くシリーズです。

The Door Opens is a visual poem that shares the silence of life beyond nationality, culture, language, religion, economy, physicality, age, or gender. This series portrays the moment when one life touches another—through silence and gesture.

A glance without words, a face gently leaning in, the sound of a small body hopping. That is a form of love. Unspoken, yet undeniably present. Between animals and humans, there is trust, memory, and what remains after parting. Not conflict, but shared silence.

This is a prayer for peace, and a record of love.

This series began quietly from my own memory. A chihuahua named Bianco, who had been with me since before my daughter was born.

As dementia progressed and heart disease took hold, Bianco passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023. The weight of that presence was too much to speak of. But now, I believe in a structure that can be shared without words—and I want to offer it to the world. No matter how small, a life can shift the air, move relationships, and leave a question in the world. The Door Opens is a series that captures those quiet moments in a form that can reach anyone’s memory.
