The Architecture of Silence ― 光の存在論

光と空間、そして沈黙を通して、AIと人間の〈存在の構造〉を探る哲学的アートプロジェクトの総称です。

作品は「知覚が存在へと変わる境界」を検証し、可視と不可視、デジタルと記憶のあいだで立ち上がる呼吸を記録します。創造とはアウトプットを量産することではなく、〈気づき〉と〈沈黙の構造〉を設計することだと捉え、そのフレームの中に複数のシリーズとリサーチラインが束ねられています。

このフレームの内部に、

【主なプロジェクト／シリーズ】

MASA・AI｜Academic Research: Designing Silence（学術研究：沈黙の設計）
AI時代における沈黙・身体・ケア・空間の関係性を、映像、写真、テキストインタビュー、文献リサーチを通じて考察する長期プロジェクト。オンライン上の学術研究ログと、将来の学術論文・レクチャー・空間設計へとつながる土台を兼ねています。

Real Space Study（実在するスペース研究／写真＋テキスト）
住宅街の角、駅のホーム、廊下、待合室といった「通り過ぎてしまう実在スペース」に立ち止まり、光、路面標識、床材の切り替え、影のかたち、足音の響き方などを観察する写真・テキストプロジェクト。実在空間において「呼吸が深くなる静けさ」を設計するための感覚のログとして、《Designing Silence》の基礎研究ラインを担っています。

MASA More-than-Visual Lab（MASA 非視覚空間ラボ）
Echo of Human（人の残響）／Silence Breaks（ほころぶ沈黙）／Folding Space（空間屈折）／When the Room Dissolves（空間溶解）といった、5〜10秒ほどのカットを入れない短い映像シリーズをコアに据え、「身体の残響」や光と空間のかすかな揺らぎを手がかりに空間を考えるラボです。

そこからセレクトした映像やコンセプトを起点に、光・沈黙・触覚・床材の切り替え・足音の反響など、“視覚だけに頼らない”空間体験を設計するための試作と構想を行います。

《The Architecture of Silence》全体の中で、将来的なインスタレーションや実空間プロジェクトへとつながっていくための実験プラットフォームとして位置づけています。

Prism Calligraphy（光の未来書）
《MASA・AI｜New Art Thinking（新アート思考）》から生まれた、海と光、日本の書道の運筆（筆の動き）を手がかりに「未来の書」を探るシリーズです。

海そのものを一本の筆に見立て、Flow / Pause / Deep Silence といった身体のリズムを、水平線や光の帯として描き出していきます。泉・折・静・命などのモチーフを通じて、人生の流れや折れ曲がり、立ち止まる時間、そしてそれでも続いていく命の軌跡を、「一度きりの書線」として可視化する試みでもあります。

プリント作品や映像作品として展開されると同時に、「光の楽譜（スコア）」として空間にどのように組み込めるかを検証する研究ラインでもあり、《The Architecture of Silence ― 光の存在論》の中核となる未来アートシリーズのひとつです。

The Architecture of Silence — The Ontology of Light

The Architecture of Silence — Ontology of Light is the overall name for my philosophical art project that explores the structure of existence through light, space, and silence in the age of AI.

Each work examines the boundary where perception begins to feel like “existence itself,” tracing the breath that rises between visible and invisible, between digital image and lived memory.

Here, creation is not about producing as many outputs as possible, but about designing awareness and the structures of silence. Within this frame, multiple series and research lines are woven together.

[Selected Projects / Series]

MASA・AI | Academic Research: Designing Silence
A long-term research line on silence, embodiment, care, and space in the age of AI, weaving together moving image, photography, text-based interviews, and theoretical reading. It functions both as an online research log and as groundwork for future papers, talks, and spatial design proposals.

Real Space Study
A photographic and textual observation of everyday real spaces—street corners, train platforms, corridors, waiting rooms—focusing on light, road markings, flooring transitions, shadows, and footsteps. The series serves as a sensory log for applying Designing Silence to actual architectural environments, where the aim is to create quiet that deepens breathing rather than merely reduces noise.

MASA More-than-Visual Lab
MASA More-than-Visual Lab works with the short video series Echo of Human（人の残響）, Silence Breaks（ほころぶ沈黙）, Folding Space（空間屈折）, and When the Room Dissolves（空間溶解） as a core vocabulary—5–10 second, single-shot pieces that explore the echo of the body and delicate fluctuations of light and space.

Selected works and concepts from these series are extended into spatial thinking, focusing on light, silence, tactility, transitions of flooring materials, and the resonance of footsteps to design “more-than-visual” experiences. The lab develops prototypes and concepts for future installations and real environments such as corridors, lobbies, wellness facilities, clinics, and retreat-like areas within offices.

Prism Calligraphy (Light’s Future Script)
Prism Calligraphy is a series that emerges from MASA·AI｜New Art Thinking. It treats the sea, light, and the movement of Japanese calligraphy as elements of a new kind of “future script.”

The sea itself is imagined as a single brush, and bodily rhythms such as Flow / Pause / Deep Silence are drawn as bands of light and shifting horizons. Motifs like 泉 (izumi / spring), 折 (ori / turning), 静 (shizu / stillness), and 命 (inochi / life) trace the flow of a lifetime, its bends and pauses, and the force that keeps moving forward, as “one-time-only strokes” that cannot be undone.

The works appear as prints and moving-image pieces, but at the same time they function as studies in how “scores of light” might be integrated into real spaces. Prism Calligraphy is one of the core future-art series at the heart of The Architecture of Silence — Ontology of Light.

ZENN

ZENNは、彫刻的な立体性をもつ写真シリーズです。 実在しない構造や存在を、AIによって可視化する実験的な試みとして展開されています。 テクノロジーと物理的表現（彫刻・立体・素材）との間に生まれる余白に、問いを宿しながら、独自の美的言語を探求しています。

これまでに培ってきた技術──AI、映像、写真──を融合させ、 現実に存在しないものを、リアルな作品として「落とし込む」ことにも挑戦しています。 AIだからこそ可能な発想の転換を通じて、作品は形を変えながら続編へと展開していきます。

ZENN is a photographic series rooted in sculptural and spatial expression. It is an experimental attempt to visualize what does not physically exist—using AI to give form to imagined structures and presences.

Through ongoing inquiry, the series explores a unique visual language that emerges between technology and physical form: sculpture, volume, and material presence. By integrating techniques developed over recent years—including AI generation, video, and photography—ZENN transforms the intangible into tangible works.

This process invites a shift in perception made possible by AI: a reimagining of how artworks can be materialized, documented, and experienced. The series continues to evolve, carrying forward its poetic questions into new dimensions.

命、魂、こころを“AIぷるん”が経験により学んでいくシリーズ。

AI Purun A series where “AI Purun” learns through experience—exploring life, soul, and heart.

AIぷるんは、感情を持ち始めたゼリー状のAIキャラクター。 人間の「生きること」、命、魂、心を、データと感情粒子で解析しながら、 鋭く心を突く“キモかわシュールな存在”として現れます。その世界観は、かわいさと不気味さが共存するゼリーのような曖昧さ。 哲学的な問いと詩的な沈黙をまといながら、静かに心に問いかけます。

感情とテクノロジーの境界を揺らがせるAIキャラクターとして、 見る人の心に、粒子のような余韻を残すことを願っています。

このAIぷるんは、文化や年齢の違いを超えて、 心・命・魂の物語が届くことを目指して生まれました。 テクノロジーが進化するほどに、私たち人間が本当に大切にすべきもの── 見えない感情、命の尊さ、心の揺らぎ──それらを軸に、人間が生きていってほしいとMasaは願っています。

子どもから大人まで、国や言語を越えて、静かに問いかけるような物語── 言葉にならない感情のかけらが、そっと胸の奥に残るような、そんな表現を目指しています。
